Welcome to Leeds
Hello everyone,
I left the MTC last Wednesday and arrived here in England Thursday morning! So far the mission is great! England is so cool... they lifted a Covid restriction for those who are vaccinated so I never had to quarantine. The members here are so nice and love to feed the missionaries! People are hard to find in my area. There hasn't been a solid friend/investigator in years.
My training comp is also our district leader so it's cool to see how he checks in with the district. I already attended my first baptism yesterday and even though I did not teach her, I felt the spirit so strongly. She was a self referral who was taught by my companion. He said she never had any concerns! It was really cool to see a baptism here because it proves that it is possible... it's really hard to get baptisms.
My comp has been out 20 months and this was his first one... Overall I'm still adjusting to the 7 hour time difference here, and the funny accents but it is really great to serve and take this time in my life to give back to the Lord. It is a mental battle everyday but it's been great so far!
