Hello Everyone,
So much has been going on this week that I decided to break it down for yall day by day.
Monday: it was a very relaxing prep day. We got our weekly groceries and spent the rest of the day driving around to new places. We visited a cool tower here that is actually the tallest free standing tower in the UK. It's actually taller than the Eiffel tower. Then we went to a local farm that sells fresh ice cream. Ice cream on Belgium waffles! Theycwere delicious. We ended our day off with a hike.
Tuesday-Wednesday: All of the missionaries serving in my mission had the opportunity to hear from Elder De Feo who is the area president of Europe. It was an amazing experience as it was a two day activity on zoom. It felt like a general conference specifically tailored to you. It was such a cool experience! My favorite part was that we were able to be on the zoom and have Elder De Feo respond to missionaries talks and ideas. He did not have his talks written out. He let the spirit direct him so the message would be completely and truly directed towards us.
Thursday: We had more exchanges with the other elders in our district. It was a fun time. However I ended up getting really sick and was bed-rest for most of that day.
Friday: I woke up feeling lots better and we had a busy day full of service and finding. Our weeks are purely focused on finding new people. Service has been a great way and we continue to do that. My mission encourages finding in any way possible, so we really brainstorm different ways that we can find. Its really cool as we can experiment and try out different things. We have been trying sports finding and going on hikes to find people, but we think the white shirt and tied throw people off.We are going to try to do those in regular clothes to see if we have any more luck.
Saturday: We did service twice on Saturday. We were helping a family move. It took two trips for them so we helped in the morning and then helped in the afternoon. It was a very busy day.
Sunday: Our ward is still only the first hour of church. With that being said, we had a two hour long sacrament testimony meeting. That was definitely the longest sacrament meeting I have ever attended. We also stayed after for a baptism in the ward. It was a very peaceful day to end off the week.
